Stuck in Minecraft How to respawn

Hi I don't usually play paintball and haven't played it in years but gave it a go today. Of course I was abysmal... But what the heck is going on with getting stuck in a pile when you respawn? There doesn't seem to be a way out of it and it happened in two of the four games I played. have to do /hub to get out of the game as the shuddering is pretty bad

I am on 1.16 and have auto respawn set to on if that makes a difference?

as other people have said its a bug with earlier versions. while playing any game you should just use 1.8.9 anyway as there are virtually no game breaking bugs in 1.8.9. auto respawn does not affect the bug just what version youre playing on

Just wanted to say a big thank you!

Tried it today in 1.8.9 and it's perfect. I actually managed to kill a few people too .Now all I've gotta do is git gud!

If the server is on Hard mode, just walk away. Over time, the player's hunger bar will deplete, causing his life to deplete, until he dies. Since spawning is slightly random, you'll respawn most likely in a different position.

On normal or below, you'll have to get more creative about killing him. If another player can reach him, a simple wooden sword could dispatch him (particularly after starving). If an op can be located, the "/kill" command would work, but I notice you said above that you lack permissions to "/kill" in this situation.

If you’re stuck because you fell into a ravine, got locked in a house, or are lost you can always use /spawn to return to the spawn point of the world, or /home to return to your home.
