If you want to renew your Australian passport, you can download the form online and then lodge your application at an Australia Post outlet.

To get started, visit the Australian Passport Office.

You can begin the renewal process online if you’re 18 years of age or older and your most recent Australian passport:

was issued when you were 16 or older
was issued on or after 1 January 2006
was valid for at least 2 years when issued
has your current name, date of birth, place of birth and gender
has not been reported lost, stolen or cancelled.

If you do not meet the criteria for renewal, you’ll need to complete a new passport application.

2 identical photos of yourself that are no more than 6 months old
all supporting documents requested on the application form.

Select the 'Renew online' button.
Create an AusPassport account.
Complete, print and sign your application form.
Have your passport photos taken.
Find a participating Post Office and make an appointment (if required).
Pay the application fee.

Note: Passport renewal forms are not available from Australia Post. If you’re unable to renew online, call 131 232 to get a pre-filled form sent to you.

	Overseas Passport Application Form (form must be completed online and then printed for lodgement)
	Guarantor (Australian citizen or foreign citizen currently employed in an approved occupation)
	3 Australian Passport photos (1 photo must be appropriately endorsed and signed by the Guarantor)
	Previous Australian Passport (Current or expired passport, including a previous child passport or emergency document)
	Other Identity Documents (Thai ID card, Driver’s Licence)
	Passport application Fee Current passport fees Payable in Thai Baht by Visa/ Mastercard Credit or Debit card only (no cash payments accepted)
If born in Australia:
	Australian Birth Certificate (original document only, copies not acceptable)
	Proof of Australian Citizenship (original document only, copies not acceptable)
If born overseas (including Thailand):
	Foreign Birth Certificate (original document only, copies not acceptable) Replacement Thai birth certificates can be obtained from the Amphur office where the birth was originally registered
	English Translation (only required if document is not issued in English. Originals only) **Dual language certificates (e.g., Thai and English) are acceptable
	Proof of Australian Citizenship (Australian Citizenship Certificate) (original document only, copies not acceptable)

Child Passport Application (Under 18 years old)

(First Child Passport / Child Passport Renewal/ Replacement of Emergency Passport / Replacement of Lost, Stolen or Seriously Damaged Passport)

	Overseas Passport Application Form (form must be completed online and then printed for lodgement)
	Guarantor (Australian citizen or foreign citizen currently employed in an approved occupation)
	Parental consent page completed by all persons with parental responsibility (Signatures must be witnessed appropriately, Page 4 of application) What if my name is different to what’s on my child’s birth certificate?
	3 Australian Passport photos (1 photo must be appropriately endorsed and signed by the Guarantor)
	Previous Australian Passport (Current or expired passport, including an emergency document)
	Children aged 10 and over must sign the application form (section 18)
	Lodging parent/s must provide Photo ID with address and signature at lodgement

Please Note:
	Child applications aged 15 or under must be lodged by a parent or person with parental responsibility for the child
	Child applications aged 16 or 17 must be lodged by the child applicant together with a parent or person with parental responsibility for the child.
