NOTE: ALL of the Commendations and Doubloon Rewards from this event are TIME LIMITED and will disappear from the game with the mid-January update! With update 2.0.10 The Festival of Giving, a shipment of gifts was sunk by nefarious new Skeleton Lords, and the gifts are showing up all over the seas. Stitcher Jim wants you to deliver those gifts to his beloved, the Mysterious Robed Stranger, and there are new Gift Seeker voyages and commendations to earn. A big shipment of small boxed Gifts for the Festival of Giving has been sunk, and you can make a lot of doubloons by finding them. Here’s where to look: Gifts come in two varieties: Humble Gifts and Generous Gifts. Humble Gifts deliver for 5 Doubloons and Generous Gifts deliver for 10 Doubloons. Naturally, Generous Gifts are going to be less common than Humble ones. More details on how to deliver these and what commendations you earn down below. December 11th-mid January Gift Seeker Voyages are available for free for a limited time in Stitcher Jim’s Black Market (found in any tavern). Skeletons are collecting gifts and storing them on forts, and Jim has maps of where to dig them up. This is the fastest way to get gifts quickly, but they’re guarded by powerful foes… 1. There are Gift Seeker Voyages for each of the three main regions, as well as a Legendary Gift Seeker Voyage which is exclusive to Pirate Legends. 2. The voyages are X-marks the spot maps to skeleton forts where you’ll dig up Gifts. Regional voyages are more likely to yield Humble Gifts, the Legendary voyage is more likely to yield Generous Gifts. 3. During the Voyage, Skeleton Lords will emerge to defend their stash. If you defeat a Skeleton Lord it will drop a Skeleton’s Orders quest, where you can dig up more Gifts and even Ashen Chests on the same fort. If your whole crew dies simultaneously during the battle the Skeleton Lord will escape and disappear before you respawn- you won’t be able to get their bonus treasures. Time Limited Commendations: -Complete the Shores of Plenty Gift Seeker Voyage (+5 Doubloons) Note: Where to Deliver GiftsOnce you’ve got some Gifts stocked up, you’ll notice that nobody on the outpost, even Stitcher Jim, will accept them and pay you. That’s because you’ve got to deliver these gifts (on Stitcher Jim’s behalf) to the Mysterious Robed Stranger. She’s returned to the dig site on the uncharted island at I13… only it’s not uncharted anymore! The island now has a name — The Reaper’s Hideout — and shows up on everyone’s map tables. Head there and you’ll see her under a tall structure of festive lights, where she’ll take any gifts off your hands for Doubloons. You earn commendations for selling them… but you’ll also earn commendations for doing something else… Delivering Gifts CommendationsSimply hand Gifts over to the robed stranger and you’ll earn the following commendations: Deliver a Humble Gift (+5 Doubloons) Deliver a Generous Gift (+10 Doubloons) “Giving” Gifts CommendationsYou also earn commendations when other crews deliver YOUR gifts. You can hunt down other crews and try to trade with one another, OR, you can simply leave gifts on the table near the Stranger and hope another crew comes along and delivers them. BEST TIP: As you play a session, regularly return to the Reaper’s Hideout to leave gifts for other players to discover, and at the very end of your session, any that didn’t get sold you can deliver yourself. Have another crew deliver one of your Humble Gifts (+5 Doubloons) Have another crew deliver one of your Generous Gifts (+10 Doubloons) Time Limited: Giver of Gifts
And that’s it! Find gifts with the limited time Gift Seeker voyages or find them through other means, and you can deliver them to the Reaper’s Hideout- or leave them behind as a gift for other crews! Commendations for doing the limited time voyages and for earning the Giver of Gifts title are all time limited, but the rest of the delivering and giving gifts commendations are NOT. Finally, try to defeat the trio of new Skeleton Lords to earn Ashen Treasures commendations as well as bonus gifts. For other Festival of Giving Content: |
